Day 3 – Child’s pose with blocks

I think everyone likes a nice chill pose in yoga. So to make you feel a little bit more open in the shoulders, but also relaxed overall we are going to go into a child’s pose but instead of having our hands directly on the floor we will have them on blocks.

  • Start in table top (on your hands and knees) with 2 blocks by your hands and shift your hips back towards your heels with your arms stretched out in front of you as if you are reaching for something.
  • Forehead is lightly placed on the ground and glutes resting on your heels
  • Should feel a nice stretch in hips and groin; if hips are tight it may feel a little uncomfortable, but breath through it
  • If the blocks are a little far from your hands, adjust them so they are right where your hands will be. Then sink back into your hips with hands on top of the blocks. You should feel a nice stretch within your arm pits and shoulders. If it’s uncomfortable, focus on your breathing.

Comment below and tell me how you feel. I’d love to hear from you.
