Day 17 Hip Opener!
Wow! We are almost done with our hip opening challenge. Why don’t you try this wide legged standing forward fold next.
This is another one that I do at work after I’ve been sitting for way too long. And it’s nice to do, because I don’t have to be on the floor.
To give it a try, follow these instructions below:
1. Stand facing the longest part of your mat.
2. Bring your feet about hip distance apart and then out 6 more inches on each side.
3. Hinge at the hips and bring your torso forward towards the mat. Bring your hands to rest on the mat, if your hands can’t reach due to tight hammies place them on a block or a set of books if you don’t have a block(s).
4. Hold here for a few breaths.
